Theme: “INTERPRETER STRATEGIC MEDIATION”
When: Saturday, November 7, 2020. 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Who: 30 MiTiN members only – First come, first serve. This will be an interactive presentation; attendees MUST participate via Zoom with a PC or iPad - NO telephone participation will be allowed.
What: This is a training for interpreters at the beginner and intermediate levels. This training will use The Community Interpreter® curriculum to train on “Strategic Mediation”. In this class, you will learn how to apply four decision-making criteria to assess whether or not to mediate and develop basic scripts for performing mediation in common situations in community interpreting. There will be plenty of interaction and activities. It is suggested but not imperative, for interpreters of a limited diffusion, that they try to recruit a partner so they can work together in a language pair.
Where: Zoom meeting.
Presenter: Rania Hijazeen.
